楓燧堂出席香港回歸27周年暨天師聖誕慶祝大會

Fengshuitang attended the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China and the Tianshi Birthday Celebration

On June 23rd, the Hong Kong Liaison Office of the Longhu Mountain Celestial Master's Mansion, the ancestral home of Chinese Taoism, and the District Service and Youth National Education Center jointly held a grand celebration in Hong Kong to celebrate the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland and the Celestial Master's birthday. Fengsui Hall, as an invited guest, witnessed this special moment alongside representatives from various sectors.

The day's activities kicked off with a solemn flag-raising ceremony. As the majestic national anthem sounded, the five-star red flag slowly rose, and the scene was filled with a strong sense of patriotism. Afterwards, a wonderful lion dance performance led the representatives from the participating Taoist temples into the venue, holding their respective Taoist temples' three-tooth flags. More than 20 flags fluttered in the wind at the venue. The scene was warm and grand, adding a lot of festive atmosphere to the event.

In his speech, Li Yongzhan, Director of the Coordination Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, emphasized that the large number of young Taoists participating in the event demonstrates that Taoism in Hong Kong has entered a new era of youth. He urged Taoist groups in mainland China and Hong Kong to strengthen exchanges and encouraged young Taoists to visit and study more in various parts of China, gaining a deeper understanding of and inheriting China's excellent traditional Taoist culture.

Zhang Jintao, the host of the Longhushan Successor Han Celestial Master Temple, sent a video message to the conference, congratulating the event and sincerely inviting both new and old friends to visit Longhushan to trace their roots and promote cultural exchange. In recent years, the Hong Kong Liaison Office of the Longhushan Successor Han Celestial Master Temple, the ancestral home of Chinese Taoism, has been committed to promoting the development of Taoism among young people. Through diverse activities, they encourage young people to approach and understand traditional Chinese Taoist culture, uphold the spirit of "loving the country, loving Hong Kong, and loving Taoism," and contribute to the prosperity and stability of the country and Hong Kong.

This conference not only showcased the unity and harmony of the Taoist community, but also marked the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland. This was also the first time that Fengsuitang participated in such an event, and we deeply felt the strong patriotic sentiment present. It also embodies the exchange and cooperation between different Taoist schools, jointly promoting the inheritance and development of China's fine traditional culture.
